Tom Priest.co.uk Angling Page

This page is dedicated to all my fellow anglers who, through no fault of their own, have lost the big one by whichever cruel twist of fate at the time contrived to snap up, pull out (no sexual innuendo intended), become entangled in weed, lily pads or whichever unforeseen circumstance could strike you down at that moment.
If fishing was that easy we would have given it up years ago through boredom or lack of a challenge.
Treat it for what it is, a relaxing pastime by which you can forget your everyday worries or troubles for a while and enjoy being in the middle of a natural environment not affected by the concrete jungles in which most of us live these days.

One of my finest moments was catching this beautiful 32lb Common Carp.
I caught it on a strawberry flavoured boilie, freelined on to a big weedbank about 10 yards out in the River Mole behind Sandown Park race course.
It took about 45 minutes to get it to the bank as it ran me in to a huge clump of weed about 50 yards up river from where I was fishing, but it was well worth the fight as you can see from this picture.

RMC Angling's Wraysbury 2 pit is one of the toughest venues to fish. It has huge shoals of Bronze Bream but, it can take you 2 days to actually get them feeding properly
